ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
PRESENT OCCUPATION
o Professor and Chairman Of
Technical Advisor to the Secretary General of the National Council for Women, in the areas of Management Information Center, the Women Business Development Center ,and E- Marketing. Dr. Safar is the founder of Cleostore web site...It is a site for e- marketing the products of women entrepreneurs , and SME online website which serves SME’s all over Egypt. The web site is a comprehensive E library of all related information to SME’s for the use of entrepreneurs.
The
Women’s Business Development Center (
o
Consultant to the Arab Women Organization to establish Geographic Information
System for the Arab Women . The AWO has initiated this database to
reflect Arab women’s actual status and all available information and data about
their problems and achievements in the seven areas of interest for the AWO
(education, health and environment, media, sociology, economics, politics and
law). The GIS will provide data necessary for having inter- and intra- Arab
country comparisons regarding the status of women. It will also
shed light on women victims in wars and armed conflicts. Present time

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
o
Senior Technical Advisor to
CAIP is based on four principal vectors: the use of compressed
natural gas (CNG) for the public transport vehicles; exhaust tests; the
programme for combating lead pollution; and air measuring monitors. The Lead
Pollution Abatement, headed by Dr. Safar, was created in response to the super-high levels of lead in the
air. The industrial lead smelters and heavy trucks, which have high emissions
of lead, are to blame. Lead
smelters create 40,000 to 55,000 tons of lead annually. The
project implemented the Lead smelter action plan which resulted in reduction of
Lead concentration in atmospheric air by 80%. The Vehicle Emission Testing
Program, headed by Dr. Safar
implemented for the first time in
o
Senior Technical Advisor to the Egyptian Environmental Policy Program,
Air Quality Objective(EEPP)
EEPP is composed of three main components,
establishing air quality strategy, establishing a strategy to replace diesel
buses with CNG buses in public transportation and to draft lead remediation
guidelines of lead smelters. Dr. Safar lead the team to issue the remediation
guidelines and participated in the air quality strategy of
